The girls in grade 5 are having periods, In some cases the girl living in stressful environments hit puberty earlier.When a family breaks down and a mother enters a new relationship,daughters are more likely to start puberty earlier.
The primary schools are required to teach children in grads 5 and 6 about puberty and basic sex education.

Yeah, mostly times are changing for the worst.
I have to wonder at this bold new frontier that our future is offering and wonder what ever possessed us to forget the lessons of the past. Passing on experience and life lessons is so important. I have been very, very close with my children and have schooled them myself as they travel with me all over the world. It is a rare blessing that I'm thankful for every single day.
I am so grateful that I have no young children these days. It's all horrifying.
Many girls don't look like a girl any more. But their mind is not mature as their looks. Proper education is necessary.

In terms of puberty coming earlier in terms of period etc, I don't think its faster, I think it is more spoken about. I remember girls 9, having periods, I myself started at 10. This is not a new phenomenon. I think what is happening is with the media oversexualization of everything, including advertising, commericials has normalized oversexualization, which is problematic because there is very little sensor or a balance of the teachings of sex and sexuality to put the hypersexuality into context.
