Fooling a person's body into thinking they are hungry could protect them from par-kinson's and Alzheimer's disease.
A "hunger hormone", released to tell a person they need to seek food,has also been found to protect brain cells from degenerating opening a potential new way of holding off a host of neuro- degenerative conditions.
But while cutting the calories person eats can stimulate the ghrelin hormone into action.
