Towns throughout Victoria remained on high alert on Friday as floodwaters claimed their first life in  the state's south-west.

further tide of water is flowing down from the north west Victoria after nearly 200 Millimetres  of rain fell on the mountains.

Dearest Michiko san,
Any flooding is never a good thing, it causes so much suffering. The loss of plants and work and even lives at times, like you mentioned here as well.
Sending you hugs and hoping that it did settle down again.
