Good oil on memory

A mediterranean- style diet packed with fish, chicken and olive oil, and low on fatty diary products and meat, may lower the risk of memory problems later in life, a large US study says.

But the effects of eating a diet rich in omega - 3 fatty acids do not extend to people with diabetes.

The study showed people who had a Mediterranean diet were 19 per cent less likely to have problems with thinking than those who didn't eat that way.

Oh, that is for sure a good health regime and I also read that those that speak more languages are less prone to losing memory. That makes yo score again here! Let's pray that it comes true for all of us.
Hugs to you dear lady,
Mariette

I did hear that olive oil is very good for health. In fact we use olive oil quite a lot for cooking :-) But I didn't know the whole Mediterranean diet. Sounds very beneficial!

It is a wonderful diet. What I have gotten into eating more from the Mediterranean are is greek yogurt. Oh it is so much richer then regular yogurt yet often less calories and better for you. Just more expensive as well. I have heard now cutting back on wheat can help ease joint pain as well. Have a wonderful rest of the week. Hugs Carrie
