This sense of powerlessness among women,particularly mothers,is not new. The world was spinning and I couldn't speak properly. It's feeling of dread and tightening in the chest i just snapped. It was absolutely terrifying! Generation anxiety!

SIS, I have read of things like that here as well. Sometimes duty and family are overwhelming and one must get a good start organizing things as you go or you could be overwhelmed with the number of things that need doing.

That is always a chance indeed that women go on and on without ever taking a proper rest for themselves.
I felt that way for my dear Mom, she always cared for her seven children and did not find any luxury time for herself, neither for a real vacation. So I still feel very proud that she came to stay with us four times and I could care for her!

Having car accident is too much, but we do need time to rest and relax. It's hard to truly relax because I always have something I have to do in mind. But just a little bit of me-time each day helps a lot :-)
I have that wish many moon ago... not with car accident, I just like hospital. Want to be a nurse and that dream didn't come true. Hope you have lots sunny day for your golf. Big hugs, Mei
